The Best Dresses Ever – Lauren Tamaki

The best dress I can’t buy.
This dress is by a Ryerson fashion grad Lauren Tamaki. As I wore it out to a fairly well-attended event, this dress has now become somewhat my signature look although it is not mine. (Trust me, if I could have afforded it, I would have bought it.) Most people I meet at social events visualize me in this dress if they happen to be for some reason visualizing me… so much so that I ordered the fashion figure by Meder and put it on a social card.
I met Lauren at the Canadian Fashion Designers Show (or something like that). I loved her collect the best and over some time, we came into contact.
I shot some of her gorgeous work last May. She’s the sweetest girl to work with.

When I wore that dress, She created a little mini for me as I didn’t fit into the Size 2 pants that the model was wearing. I then came up with the idea of getting a dress made by her. I see it as a wonderful investment and a once in a lifetime opportunity to own something beautiful. More on that later.
