SOUNDREACH – VIDEO SUBMISSIONS
Call for video art submissions for TANSO’s collaboration event, SOUNDREACH.
SOUNDREACH is an improvised audiovisual performance incorporating a live Internet sound and video link between Toronto and China in which Chinese sound artist, Zen Lu, will perform with Toronto-based collective I/O Media.
We are looking for video art pieces that would be used for the visual part of the collaboration.
THEME:
This cross-continental live collaboration intends to explore the spontaneous reactions/responses reflecting the underlining ideologies rooted in different cultures via music and visuals.
Depending on location and the media, one would often have distinct responses and reactions towards the same issues.
The video being submitted should be the artist’s visual responses/reactions to current international affairs, or the interpretation of our unavoidable daily reality.
As it will be integrated into a live improvised context, the content of the selected video should be in abstract form with a non-linear story line. The selected video piece would not be played continuously (i.e. from beginning to end) during the performance.
The videos to be submitted DO NOT need to be newly created specifically for this event. Multiple submissions from the same artist are acceptable.
Length: NO MORE than 3 minute,
Format: VISUAL ONLY, NO SOUND. AVI, at resolutions up to 1024×768
Deadline: February 1st, 11:59pm

2. Upload your video to a ftp, then send us the link to info@tanso.ca
3. Send us your video in DVD or CD or to our FTP server, please contact info@tanso.ca for address information
In addition to being featured as part of a live screening at our SOUNDREACH event, all submitted videos will be featured on our website, www.tanso.ca,
as well as on the Chinese art/culture hotbed www.NeoCha.com
