Wedding Rings versus Iron Rings

My parents got married when they were young and impoverished. My mom was 4′11 and 80 lbs and my dad was 5′10 and 140 lbs with his wedding suit on.
Now that they have settled in a more luxurious Western life, their wedding bands no longer fit on their ring fingers.
They now wear them on their pinkies like the way I wear my iron ring.
